Inside Volume 10: Fig & Dove x The Scout Guide Baton Rouge
There is something special about seeing the people, places, and businesses that make Baton Rouge feel like home gathered together in the pages of The Scout Guide. For ten volumes, The Scout Guide Baton Rouge has celebrated the creativity, entrepreneurship, and sense of community that make this city so unique.
This year, we are honored to once again see Fig & Dove among those pages as The Scout Guide Baton Rouge celebrates an exciting milestone: Volume 10.
For Fig & Dove, being part of The Scout Guide has always meant more than a beautifulfeature. It is an opportunity to celebrate the community that has supported our brand from the beginning and to stand alongside so many local businesses, designers, makers, and creatives we admire.
Celebrating Volume 10

We've been scouted.
As Fig & Dove has grown beyond Baton Rouge and found its way into homes across the country, our Louisiana roots remain an important part of who we are. This is where the earliest ideas took shape, where relationships were built, and where so much of the support behind Fig & Dove began.
That is part of what makes being included in Volume 10 so meaningful.
Each edition of The Scout Guide captures a little piece of Baton Rouge at that moment in time, introducing readers to the businesses and people shaping the community and creating a beautiful record of the city along the way. To be included in its tenth volume feels particularly special.
And for us, it also offers a chance to look back.
A Look Back
Fig & Dove's relationship with The Scout Guide goes back several volumes. In 2021, we celebrated our inclusion in Volume 5 with a simple phrase that still feels just as exciting today: We've been scouted!
At the time, Fig & Dove and Colleen Waguespack Interiors were featured together, highlighting two brands built around a shared

appreciation for thoughtful design and beautiful details.
Five volumes later, so much has grown and evolved. Fig & Dove has expanded its collections, introduced new ways to style and celebrate the home, and reached customers and retailers far beyond Baton Rouge.
Through that growth, the ideas at the heart of the brand have remained the same: pieces crafted with purpose, designed to last, and created to bring beauty and meaning to the everyday.
Looking back at those earlier pages makes being part of Volume 10 all the more meaningful. They are little snapshots of where Fig & Dove has been, while this year's feature captures another chapter in where we are today.
Making the Pages
One of the most exciting parts of The Scout Guide is seeing the finished book, but there is so much that happens before those pages ever make it into your hands.
For this year's shoot, the experience began before we ever stepped in front of the camera. We partnered with fellow Baton Rouge business NK Boutique to help prepare for the day, bringing another local favorite into the process and making the experience feel even more connected to the community The Scout Guide celebrates.

From choosing the looks for the shoot to getting ready for the camera, it was a fun reminder that some of our favorite projects are the ones that bring local businesses together. The Scout Guide has a special way of creating those connections, and getting to collaborate with NK Boutique made the lead-up to Volume 10 that much more memorable.
Then it was time to bring the feature itself to life. From preparing and styling each detail to working alongside The Scout Guide Baton Rouge team to capture the final photographs, there is so much thought that goes into creating the image that ultimately appears on the page. For a brand that believes the smallest details can make all the difference, getting to be part of that creative process is always especially fun.
The finished photograph may be what ultimately lives in Volume 10, but all of the moments surrounding it are part of the story too: getting ready, arranging, adjusting, styling, collaborating, and finally watching everything come together.
Cheers to Volume 10
A night to celebrate.
Of course, a milestone like Volume 10 deserved to be celebrated.
We loved joining The Scout Guide Baton Rouge and fellow members of the local community to celebrate the launch of the newest volume.

Seeing the finished guide, reconnecting with familiar faces, and gathering with so many of the people and businesses represented throughout its pages made the evening even more special.
It was a celebration not only of a new volume, but of ten volumes dedicated to championing local businesses and sharing what makes Baton Rouge worth discovering.
We are grateful to once again be part of The Scout Guide Baton Rouge and even more grateful for the community represented within its pages.
