Celebrating Dads with our new Highball Glasses

This month we are celebrating the first superhero in our lives,
our Dads, with the introduction of Fig & Dove's highball glasses.  We would like to raise a glass to toast those men we grew up looking up to and to those who are the role models for our own children today. 

To help you fill your glass, we asked Jeff Conaway from Beausoleil restaurant (our hometown favorite in Baton Rouge, LA) to share his recipe for their classic Old Fashioned.  
 

Beausoleil Old Fashioned:
 
(2) ounces Buffalo Trace
(½) ounce simple syrup
(7)  dashes Peychauds
(¼) orange slice
(1 each) Beausoleil house-made cherries
(2) bar spoons of juice from cherries
 
Method:
 
Muddle orange, simple syrup, juice from cherries, and Peychauds together in a bar shaker.  Add ice to the top.  Pour in Bourbon.  Stir with a barspoon and add cherry.  Serve!
