Meet Fig & Dove Tastemaker- Lydia Menzies
Like the holidays, we believe summer is a time for creating beautiful memories with friends and family whether through travel or entertaining. Our Summer Tastemaker Series is an opportunity to share the best of summer living with you by asking some of our favorite tastemakers how they make the most of the season. Today, we are featuring Georgia based entertaining expert, Lydia Menzies. who has a knack for adding memorable creative details to everything from large parties to smaller-scale celebrations. While Lydia is known for her award winning blog, her latest venture includes, The Supper Club, an online community to help guide you on ways to create charming table settings and plan delicious meals for family and friends. Follow her and she will expand your creative thinking and show you ways to entertain with ease! My kind of friend!
What's your favorite Fig & Dove item for styling or entertaining in your own home or gifting to others?
The hurricane vases create the perfect glow for outdoor summer entertaining and then can be used for holidays and other occasions throughout the year.
What other Fig & Dove items are on your wish list?
The Melamine serving pieces are perfect for outdoor entertaining, poolside parties and family gatherings. Then the cheese and knife set, their monogrammed hand towels, acrylic games and a Boxwood Wreath!
What are your key ingredients for summer entertaining plus your favorite recipe?
Blueberries and blackberries- I love to use them to top salads, garnish drinks, bake cobblers, and of course, eat fresh from the farm!
What is one summer beauty product you always have on hand?
My friend, Carrie Raeber, keeps me stocked on all of the latest and greatest from Rodan + Fields. I also think a straw hat is an excellent beauty product to have for summer sun protection.
Your favorite summer vacation spot?
Nantucket! If you visit, here are my three favorite spots not to miss: For a casual meal with fabulous food, visit The Beet. For cocktails on the beach a favorite is The Galley and for a fancier dinner, be sure to dine at The Chanticleer.
