Q + A with Sarah Hunt
What is your favorite entertaining secret, trick or specialty during the holiday season?
Tip 1 - Set out and label platters and serving dishes the night before entertaining. Doing so helps to avoid the frenzy of hunting and gathering serving pieces the day of an event. If guests arrive early and want to help, they’ll also know where the food goes once it’s ready.
Tip 2 - Since we have little ones, I use battery-powered votive and pillar candles for a warm glow without the worries.
What is your go-to hostess gift?
Champagne or a nice bottle of wine
What is a recipe your family and friends look most forward to each holiday season?
All the things! How can I narrow it down to just one? Tis the season for chowing down!
What is the one tradition you and your family talk about the most?
Christmas Eve candlelight service at church is hands down my favorite tradition. We’ve done it every year as long as I can remember, and it always makes me emotional.
What brings you the most joy during the Christmas season?
Seeing the magic and delight in my children’s eyes as they take it all in and have fun. And of course spending time with family, and focusing on the Reason for the Season!
